Attorney Michael S. Weldon, Jr.
Michael has a passion for helping individuals. He started his career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Alcovy Judicial Circuit prosecuting crimes in Walton and Newton Counties. Michael tried several jury trials with the District Attorney’s Office and developed a love for representing victims of crimes. After his stint as a prosecutor, Michael went to work for a well-regarded firm in Atlanta, Georgia where he defended insurance companies in civil actions. Although grateful for the experience, he quickly realized that working for regular folks was his calling—not working for insurance companies.
In November of 2016 Michael joined The Geoffroy Firm as an Associate Attorney. In this capacity, he specializes in Plaintiff’s Personal Injury as an advocate for people who are facing difficult times coping with their injuries. Michael loves fighting for justice for his clients.
In law school Michael was as a member of the Mercer Law Review for two years, serving as the Editor of the “Annual Survey of Georgia Law” in his final year. He was published in the law review in the Summer of 2013. Michael also competed for two years with Mercer’s Moot Court Team, participating in competitions across the country.
Michael and his wife, Cathryn, live in the Grant Park neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia. Michael and Cathryn also have two dogs, Otis and Abe. Michael is an avid fan of Georgia Bulldog football.
