We are proud to announce that Michael Geoffroy has been awarded The Signature Service Award, awarded annually to recognize an individual who has achieved a certain level of service. It is measured by his or her commitment to the Young Lawyers Division and other service-related organizations.

Michael serves on the State Bar Board of Governors and BASICS Committee. The BASICS program is a rehabilitation program aimed at helping participants stay out of jail by providing guidance while helping them become assets to their community through employment instruction. The goal of the program is to help steer inmates in the right direction when they are released. Classes are put on to help inmates learn everything they can to prepare them to be successful in the workforce. Resumes are built and job interview skills are practiced during the weekly sessions.

Michael is also the chair of the Boys and Girls club in Newton County. Together, with the help of Michael, the committee has raised over $200,000 and are prepared to open the first Boys and Girls Club in Newton County later this summer.

We are proud of Michael as well as happy to support and share his accomplishments with you.
